ifm Group will build a new factory in Suzhou and held a groundbreaking ceremony there. A 40,000-square-meter site will be built with an environmentally friendly production facility that meets the Gold Award standards of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). As China is the third-largest sales market for ifm Group, its strategic significance is of great importance.

On April 15, 2025, ifm held a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for the construction phase of the greenfield project in the metropolis of Suzhou, China. Two years ago, we began to set up production facilities. The factory is registered as ifm Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and mainly produces for the Chinese market. Andrzej Durdyn, the managing director of ifM Technology (Suzhou) Co., LTD., said: "The area of this building will be approximately 19,500 square meters, covering production, warehousing and office Spaces." We worked with architects and construction planners to formulate a detailed design plan. This ceremony marks the start of the project construction, with an expected completion time of the fourth quarter of 2026. At that time, the building will be able to accommodate up to 1,000 employees, but the expansion of personnel will be gradually advanced in line with the economic situation.

Suzhou provides ideal conditions for ifm Group's greenfield project. In this metropolis with a population of tens of millions and a superior geographical location, an advanced industrial structure has been established, providing a suitable framework for innovative and sustainable projects, such as planned production facilities. ifm designed this building in accordance with the sustainable building standards of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB e.V.), and it will be certified by it. Therefore, the overall performance of this new building in terms of ecology, economy and social culture will meet the strict requirements of the gold award standards.
